Privacy
The short version: this site uses no cookies, no ad trackers and no tracking pixels. We never sell or rent your information. The only personal details we receive are the ones you choose to send us.
What the brief form collects
The form on /start asks, in two steps:
- The project: the services you’re interested in, a budget range, a timeline, and a message about what you’re making.
- You: your name, your email address, and, if you want to add them, your company, a link (such as your current site) and how you heard about us.
We use these details for one thing: replying to you about your project. We don’t add you to a mailing list, and we don’t share your brief with anyone outside the services listed below.
The form also contains a hidden field that people can’t see and screen readers skip. It exists to catch spam bots. If a bot fills it in, nothing is sent.
Where your brief goes
When the form is connected to Web3Forms. Your brief is sent to Web3Forms, a form-delivery service, which forwards it as an email to our inbox at sales@vividwebdesigns.com. Web3Forms acts as our processor: it handles the message only to deliver it. Like most web services, it may log technical details such as your IP address while doing so. Its own privacy policy applies to that handling.
When it isn’t connected yet, or if sending fails. The form can draft the brief in your own email app instead. To do that, the site puts your name and your brief into an email link (a mailto: address) that only your own device opens. Nothing is sent until you press send yourself, and the email travels through your email provider to ours, like any other email. The site tells you plainly when this is happening.
Booking a call
If you choose to book an intro call and the booking calendar is connected, we use Cal.com. Nothing from Cal.com loads on this site until you click Book the intro call. When you do, Cal.com’s booking window opens with your name and email filled in from the form, so Cal.com receives them and you don’t have to type them twice. Cal.com acts as our processor for the booking, and its own privacy policy applies to what you enter there.
If the calendar isn’t connected, the booking button opens an email to us titled “Let’s book a call” instead.
Hosting and analytics
The site is hosted on Cloudflare. As with any web host, Cloudflare’s servers handle the technical details of each request (such as your IP address and browser type) in order to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse.
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views and measure how fast pages load. It is cookieless: it doesn’t set cookies, doesn’t store anything on your device, and doesn’t build a profile of you across sites. We see totals, such as how many people visited a page, not individuals.
What the site remembers on your device
The site stores a few small settings in your browser’s own storage. They never leave your device, and we can’t see them.
| Name | Where | Why it exists |
|---|---|---|
vivid.seen |
Local storage | Remembers that you’ve seen the opening, so it moves along faster next time. |
vivid.motion |
Local storage | Remembers your choice of full or reduced motion. |
vivid.services |
Session storage | Carries the project type you picked on the home page into the form, so you aren’t asked twice. Cleared when you close the tab. |
vivid.resume |
Session storage | Keeps your place on the page when you switch motion modes. Cleared when you close the tab. |
You can clear these at any time in your browser settings. The site works without them.
What we don’t do
- No cookies.
- No advertising, retargeting or social-media tracking pixels.
- No selling, renting or trading of personal information.
- We never put your details into a web address that’s logged or shared. The two exceptions are ones you start yourself: an email draft opened in your own email app, and the Cal.com booking window, which receives your name and email so you don’t type them twice.
How long we keep it
We keep your brief and our emails with you for as long as we’re talking about your project. If we work together, we keep project correspondence for as long as we need it to run the project and meet our business and legal record-keeping obligations. If we don’t work together, we delete enquiries when they’re no longer needed. You can ask us to delete your messages at any time, and we will, unless the law requires us to keep them.
Web3Forms and Cal.com keep data according to their own policies. Cloudflare Web Analytics keeps only aggregated, non-identifying figures.
Your choices
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to us and we’ll reply personally.
